Act 3, scene 3
In this scene the murderers approach Banquo and his son, Fleance. The men successfully kill Banquo but they let Fleance escape. This scene is important because the witches didn't say that Banquo himself was to be king but that Banquo was to be the father of the future king. This made me realize that Macbeth's greatest fear was still not taken care of which could lead to tension in the future.
