Act 1, Scene 6-
In this scene Duncan arrives at Macbeth's castle. Duncan makes himself an honorable and polite guest by complementing and thanking Macbeth and his wife. Lady Macbeth sets a more ominous tone by saying it was her duty for all the things king has done for them. At this point in the story a reader might feel anxious to see what will happen next.

We have just met King Duncan who is the current ruler of Scotland. King Duncan is like a father figure who is kind and generous but is also strong and firm. He has 3 sons, Malcolm, Donalbain, and Lennox. Duncan seems to be a man who is smart and has quick wits and thus deserves to be king. He can make the big decision's as king and does things the right way be wanting to take prisoners and putting them trial which is the opposite of what Macbeth does but, he so also trusting which makes it easy for Macbeth to take advantage of him. It is obvious that him and Macbeth have very different views on things and I can already tell that Macbeth will kill him at some point in order to become king. King Duncan is like that one friends dad who is really nice and generous to you but you can deceive him easily because he is so trusting of people.

Blog 27

Act 5, scene 1 In this scene we see that Lady Macbeth isn't doing well. Her gentlewoman states that Lady Macbeth has been sleep walking since Macbeth has gone to prepare for the war. Here we start to see Lady Macbeth in a different light. I once saw her character as strong and independent but now I see that she needs her husband to help cope with all the guilt she has inside. Lady Macbeth began sleepwalking and she walked into a room where her gentlewoman and her doctor where. She began saying all of the things she and her husband have done, by her doing this I can foreshadow that possibly her and Macbeth will have to confess to everything they have done.

Blog 18

Act 3, scene 2 In this scene, Lady Macbeth and Macbeth confess to each other that they are both losing sleep and they have stopped eating because they are afraid. This was important because throughout the whole story we haven't seen Lady Macbeth afraid or guilty. Macbeth told Lady Macbeth that he had a plan that would reassure them that the throne was theirs, but he didn't tell her the full plan. I found this scene extremely ironic because at the beginning Lady Macbeth was the stronger one in charge, but now Macbeth is taking control.
